Student Success and Well-Being – Student Union
Known as the “Heart of Campus,” the Student Union sits at the center of the UCF’s Orlando Campus.
We provide space for members of the UCF community to study, socialize, eat, host events, attend meetings, celebrate traditions, and engage in campus life.
The Opportunity: Reporting to the Assistant Director of Event Production, this position supports all audiovisual services within Student Union managed spaces.
This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inventory of audiovisual and event equipment.
Other duties include working with the Event Production Team on event set ups, shows, and strikes, supporting internal audiovisual training, and assisting professional staff with audiovisual equipment recommendations for specific events and for future purchase.
This is an Auxiliary-funded position.
Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities: Plans, maintains, and supports information tech systems and operations.
Produces, edits, supports, and repairs media-based equipment and software.
Performs setup and quality checks for video, audio, and live-streaming equipment.
Performs routine maintenance of all audiovisual and event equipment located in Student Union facilities.
Supports setup and strike of all audiovisual equipment for events in Student Union facilities.
Inventory and control of all audiovisual and event equipment in Student Union facilities.
Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of audiovisual, electronic, and event equipment.
Serves as advisor to the Assistant Director of Event Production regarding purchase of new equipment.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla.

Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Ability to work well with others.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop and Premiere.
CTS Certification preferred, but not required.
