*Job Description:* The Food Production Supervisor will play a crucial role in our production operations, ensuring the safe and efficient production of gourmet popcorn.
The Production Supervisor will oversee and support the production team to maintain consistency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards.
*Responsibilities and Duties:*
*Hands-On Production Work:*
* Master all operational functions and actively participate in all phases of the production tasks to meet production goals.
* Quality assurance oversight and accountability for final production outputs
* Inspect the production area to ensure smooth operations and compliance with GMPs.
* Make recommendations to improve operational procedures and processes.
* Assist with deliveries, if needed.
*Leadership:*
* Assist with recruitment and interviewing of production team members.
* Conduct timely training programs for staff to ensure compliance with safety and production standards.
* Supervise and lead the production team in the absence of the COO.
* Monitor and coach staff to meet expectations and maintain a positive work environment.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, company, and food safety standards.
*Quality Control and Maintenance:*
* Monitor quality and consistency of production output while maximizing efficiency and reducing cost within quality control standards.
* Manage preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for production equipment.
* Compile daily performance indicators and production reports.
* Prepare and ensure accurate and timely records for production and GMP audit reports.
*Production Inventory Planning:*
* Accurately track inventory of production supply items.
* Order and replenish production and operational inventory items.
* Coordinate with vendors for raw materials and chemicals.
*Customer Engagement and Experience:*
* Thorough knowledge of product and service offerings, pricing, ingredient and allergen information, and the ability to articulate and guide customers with buying decisions.
* Maintain product pricing catalog.
* Ensure customer satisfaction and timely responses to product and pricing inquiries.
*Qualifications:*
* Food safety certification, 2-year college degree or 3+ years equivalent experience.
* 2+ years of food production or manufacturing experience, preferably in snack food or bakery manufacturing.
* 2+ years of recent, documented supervisory experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
* Basic math skills and the ability to understand and explain recipes, weights, and measures.
* Flexibility to work a full-time schedule Mon-Fri, and evenings and weekends, if needed.
* Experience planning and managing food GMP audits preferred, but willing to train.
* Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Assist and ensure sanitized work areas and maintain cleanliness following food safety standards.
* Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
