Starting Salary:
Electrician I: $19.
70 - 25.
11 per hour, depending on qualifications
Electrician II: $21.
12 - 26.
93 per hour, depending on qualifications
Nature of Work:
Performs responsible journey-level electrical work involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, machinery, power appliances, fixtures, and other electrical components.
Work is performed under the supervision of a Lift Stations Supervisor and is subject to review while in progress and upon completion for compliance with acceptable electrical standards.
WORK LOCATION: Lift Stations Section, Wastewater Division, 5100 L.

Minimum Requirements
Electrician I: High school graduate with two years electrician experience required, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
One year or more of experience in a utility environment (water, wastewater, power company, etc.
) with knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) , Solid State Reduced Voltage (SSRVs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and motor controls preferred.
Electrician II: Same as Electrician I, above, except requires four years as specified.
Must possess an Orange County Journeyman Electrician Competency card; or equivalent.
Master Electrician license preferred.
ALL LEVELS:
Florida driver license required at time of employment.
Must be able reliably to be contacted in case of an emergency work situation and be able to respond on-call/standby
Must obtain security clearance and GOAA ID within 90 days of employment and maintain same
Must pass annual respirator physical.
No facial hair allowed between the face and sealing surface of the respirator face piece:
Employees must be clean shaven at the start of their assigned work shift.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW.
VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
