*Job Summary:*
Daniels Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who has experience in a close tolerance, job shop machining environment.
*Essential Job Functions:*
* Ability to take engineering drawings and create, document, and implement manufacturing processes to produce quality parts more efficiently
* Ability to read and communicate blueprints to shop floor personnel
* Contribute to and collaborate with Mechanical Engineering team resources to understand and continuously improve design for manufacturing ideals
* Initiate and implement new projects that challenge existing production methods and metrics
* Design tooling, fixtures, equipment, and processes to support manufacturing efforts which include machining, brazing, grinding, finishing, and assembly of manual and power assisted crimping tools
* Design, execute, and document detailed process maps to improve safety*,* work center flow, output, and quality
* Participate in continued education, professional memberships, and/or external training opportunities
* Professional Engineering mindset with a predisposition for innovation and attention to detail
* Promote an environment where Engineering/Production team members are considered highly valued technical experts
* Display professionalism while interacting with Quality Assurance, Sales, and Product Engineering personnel to support production activities, disposition of parts, and analysis of customer concerns
* Support the Manufacturing Engineering Department’s synergistic role within the organization by assisting other departments for the mutual benefit of the company
* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with colleagues and all levels of management
*Qualifications:*
* Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing Engineering in machine shop environment required
* Minimum 2 years of experience programming CNC mills and/or lathes with CAM software required
* Familiarity with Steel & Aluminum Machining: Metal Cutting, Print Reading, GD&T, Machine Selection, CNC Programming, Fixture Design
* Experience with Machining Processes such as CNC/Manual- Milling, Lathe, Grinding, Wire EDM, Drilling, Deburring
* Exceptional understanding of Tooling such as Selection, Speeds, Feeds, Depth of Cut, Coatings
* Excellent knowledge of Manufacturing Systems: Prototype Processing, Machine Maintenance and Repair, Equipment review and selection
* Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing environment preferred
