Description:
Upkeep, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs during downs are of utmost importance.
The maintenance mechanic will schedule preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance and lead the repair of unscheduled machine downs.
Assist production team and work closely with other departments to find ways to increase machine reliability on existing and new equipment, diagnose equipment breakdowns and action repairs ensuring direction of labor and planned engineering activities fully support the operation.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Two years vocational, trade or college a plus.
· 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance of machinery required.
· Technical knowledge including mechanical and industrial maintenance along with troubleshooting experience required.
· History of safety and OSHA compliance.
· Able to work independently with little guidance.
· Must have strong verbal and reading skills.
· Experience with diagnosing CNC controllers and PLCs.
· Reacting to breakdowns (both mechanical and electrical), locating the fault, analyzing the issue, and completing the fix in a timely manner to keep operation downtime to a minimum.
· Keeping accurate records such as work activities, tasks carried out, parts used.
· Performing assembly and sub-assembly repairs by following written work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
· Completing quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard.
· Troubleshoot production equipment, complete work orders and assigned tasks with a sense of urgency to maximize production and minimize downtime.
· Performs maintenance of plant equipment.
Repairs, modifies, and performs preventative maintenance on Mazak and Okuma lathe machines, Gun drilling machines, reaming machines, and Vertical mills as well as chillers, thermal controllers, conveyer systems, and associated equipment.
· Support manufacturing by performing repairs and modifications on safety, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermal regulating systems as well as facility repairs and PM’s.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
Requisitions supplies, materials, tools, machine parts and other necessary equipment.
Ensures the proper use, care and storage of tools and equipment.
· Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and OSHA standards - improving safety guidelines, procedures, identification, and visual controls across the facility.
Work Environment.
Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments.
Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
Shift: Thursday - Sunday, 2:30pm - 1:00am
