Position Summary: Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Ensures that all policies, programs, and daily operations comply with local, state, and federal laws and procedures regarding safety.
Implement and enforce the Tri-City Safety Policy.
Assist with the management and inventory of job site safety equipment.
Qualify and help deliver safety and job skill training.
Assist with identifying job site field training needs.
Effectively communicate to enhance and encourage overall employee safety awareness and job knowledge.
Maintain a safety presence in the field and build rapport with the field team, other trades, controlling contractors, and owners.
Conduct periodic safety inspections and hazard assessments.
Assign responsibility and deadlines to correct safety issues identified to maintain OSHA compliance.
Assist with the maintenance of job site OSHA documentation, including SDS chemical lists.
Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions, practices, and programs on the job site.
Interact with other contractors to ensure employees are not exposed to various hazards.
Investigate accidents, near misses, and or/safety violations on the job site to determine trends and assist with the development of procedures to avoid reoccurrence.
Document accidents of all trades.
Respond immediately to any/all OSHA inspections and remain onsite for the duration of the inspectors' visit.
Serve as a representative of Tri-City to organizations, companies, trades, etc.
, outside of Tri-City.
Attend job site safety meetings.
Keeping the teams up to date regarding conditions, observations, upcoming training, etc.
Assist Human Resources in gathering on-site OSHA, safety, and worker's compensation investigations and information as required.

) Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language at a minimum 12th-grade level Preferred: Bilingual OSHA 30 (Construction or General Industry) Prior experience as an instructor in either safety or technical topics Safety Trained Supervisor in Constructions (STSC) or equivalent Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no assigned supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions within the company.
May direct and supervise activities that pertain to safety or endanger employees' life or health.

The employee must frequently lift and move items a minimum of 25 pounds, occasionally lifting and/or moving objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
Requires the ability to perform physical duties listed above for extended periods.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/printers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.

Position Type, Expected Hours of Work, and Travel: This is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work vary but equate to 40 hours per week.
May be requested to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
