General Job Description
We are looking for Apprentice Electrician to grow with our Company.
Your job will involve assisting an electrician in installing a variety of electrical devices on a construction project.
Apprentice Electricians are expected to assist the Electricians while learning the trade.
Measure, cut, and pull wire to each device location
Test electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning
Strip insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers, and attach wires to terminals
Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools
Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
Dig trenches or holes for installation of conduit or supports
Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order
Organize tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions of the electrician
Job Knowledge
Experience in Residential or Commercial electrical new-build projects is a plus
Past experience operating hand tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, and compression tools
Have some knowledge of basic circuitry
Job Requirements
Valid Drivers License
Work from all types of step ladders, frame ladders, and all-size extension ladder
Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions
Must have basic hand tools or the electrical trade
Work in all elements of weather depending on job location, time of year (heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight)
