Lead planner/estimator

Role Description: As a Lead Planner/Estimator at SunDance, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our production efficiency and profitability.
Your responsibilities will include: Identifying and executing production efficiencies across various jobs, considering equipment capacity to maximize throughput and profits.
Thoroughly reviewing Job tickets to ensure clarity of instructions for shop floor operators.
Real-time tracking and validation of production plans on the shop floor, with timely adjustments as needed.
Revising estimates to optimize planned throughput.
Effectively communicating production plans and changes to the plant manager and scheduler.
Participating in projects aimed at enhancing Production Department efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Qualifications: Our ideal candidate is a quick learner, excels in personnel management, and has a hands-on understanding of printing and press operations.
You should have a keen eye for the big picture and the ability to lead a team towards achieving it.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting is crucial to meet our productivity, quality, and efficiency goals.
Must Have: Experience in Production Supervision or Management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in the flexible packaging industry.
Managerial experience with effective performance management and goal setting.
Proficient computer skills.
Strong communication and leadership skills to motivate and guide employee development.
Spanish language skills are a plus.
Education: BA/BS degree, preferably in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
An MBA is preferred.
