Preconstruction Coordinator

PRECONSTRUCTION COORDINATOR POSITION OBJECTIVE The Preconstruction Coordinator’s role is to provide the knowledge, skills and experience required to assist the Preconstruction department in pursuit of lump-sum, GMP, CMaR and other forms of opportunities.
PCC will primarily be responsible for setting up and maintaining preconstruction project records and documentation and distributing this information to all involved parties.
PCC’s are the face of T&G that new subcontractors will meet and are therefore responsible for establishing a professional work environment by fostering a positive atmosphere and communicating effectively both internally and to subcontractors, Owners and design professionals.
This position reports to the Preconstruction Engineer.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Responsible for setting up the project on the cloud storage, RedTeam and any other cloud-based platforms utilized for solicitation of bids.
Responsible for printing/ordering project documentation for Estimators.
Responsible for creating bid books and transfer books.
Responsible for creating ITB’s/RFQ’s for subcontractors and soliciting the right subcontractors for different projects and ensuring adequate subcontractor coverage in each scope of work.
Communicates “persistently” with subcontractors regarding involvement/interest in preconstruction pursuits, diligently follows up to review project scope and pricing prior to bid day.
Monitors and checks daily for project updates, addenda and RFI’s.
Updates documents and plan rooms and adequately communicates changes to subcontractors.
Assists Estimators in creation of RFI’s and bid documents.
Proofreads and assembles final bid forms/packages for submission to Owners.
Updates subcontractor information in company database.
Helps identify and prequalify new subcontractors.
Assists marketing & business development with the creation and submission of project proposals.

Systems Knowledge Requirements Preconstruction Coordinator must become proficient in: Google Cloud Storage, Preconstruction processes & procedures, subcontractor database organization, project solicitation creation, issuance, maintenance, and updating, preconstruction specific software, general knowledge of building practices, systems, and assemblies.
This is a full-time hourly position.
