Established & growing cabling company who specializes in the design, installation, and maintenance of state-of-the-art structured cabling systems for voice, data, video, paging, sound, security, and related systems has an opening for experienced installers to join our team in the Orlando area.
*Job Description:*
* Responsibilities include installation, termination, & testing of communications cable ( Cat6,UTP, fiber, and coax).
Fusion splicing and fiber testing.
Wi-Fi installation.
* Experience installing conduit a plus.
* Works either as an individual, as a team lead on small installation projects, or may lead a small crew on specific tasks in a larger project environment.
* Uses hand tools, including various punch tools, test equipment, and various power tools such as hammer drills and saws.
* Uses various types of copper and fiber cable and termination hardware as well as termination and testing procedures used on a day to day basis.
*Required Qualifications:*
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
regularly, and up to 75 lbs.
occasionally
* Manual dexterity, to work with fiber terminations.
* Ability to work in various environments – Office, Retail and Construction.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both through written and verbal methods.
* Ability to climb ladders, reach overhead, kneel down for long periods of time.
* Overtime may be required.
May be required to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
* Must have a valid Florida driver license with clean driving records.
*Must successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
