POSITION SUMMARY:
CT Mechanical is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our growing Gainesville team! Our ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, communication skills (both written and verbal), and a devotion to team work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and evaluate cost estimates
Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
Prepare estimates in detail for all products, materials, equipment, subcontractors, etc.
Ensure timely completion of estimates
Understand scope of work to bid
Prepare cost analysis
Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
Assist the operations team in preparation of change orders
All other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) years’ experience in construction estimating preferred
Able to read and understand plans and specifications
Strong understanding of commercial construction processes
Proficiency with MS suite (including excel) and Adobe
Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
Impeccable problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Customer service driven
Strong attention to detail
Aptitude for math is preferred
Strong aptitude for learning and understanding estimating software
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Work Hours (approximate) 7am - 4pm, Monday through Friday.
