Revology Cars is hiring a Metrology Engineer at the Orlando Florida facility where we build new Ford-licensed reproduction 1965-68 Mustang and Shelby GT automobiles.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must be able to effectively use 3D scanners and other measuring tools to support design engineering requirements for components, assemblies, and production fixtures.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Metrology Engineer will play a pivotal role in the development of automotive components, focusing on exterior and interior body panels.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Automotive Tier 1/OEM settings, showcasing individual contributions, leadership in guiding development, and decision-making experience.
Roles and responsibilities include:
3D scan automobile parts and assemblies.
3D scan production fixturing.
Postprocess scan data.
CMM setup, fixture creation, data collection, and data analysis.
Create parametric CAD data based on scans.
Perform tolerance stack analysis on simple and complex vehicle systems.
Interface with design and manufacturing engineering to create future products and resolve existing production issues.
Establish and lead metrology department.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field or equivalent industry experience.
Proficient in Catia V5, 3DExperience, Geomagic Design X, Geomagic Control X, and/or VXelements.
Experience using SolidWorks and Rhino 3D are beneficial, but not required.
Proficient in reverse engineering process to convert raw scan data to parametric vehicle-position CAD data.
Experience in Catia surface data modeling of sheet metal and composites (design for manufacture).
Proven track record of individual contributions, guiding development, and making effective design decisions.
In-depth knowledge of automotive systems and their interactions.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
PAY AND BENEFITS
$87.
5k-$106.
9k salary, depending on skills and experience.
