This position is for a Systems Engineer-IT for the F-35 Pilot Training Devices (PTD) program.

Positions are located in East Orlando, FL at the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Lake Underhill facility.

THE WORK: The Systems Engineer - IT will be responsible for the following: - System administration of heterogeneous networks including Windows Desktop environments, Windows Server based domains, and Linux based systems - Red Hat Linux server deployment configuration - Manage operating system cyber compliance, upgrades, and patching (Windows/Linux) - Perform guidance and management for hardware, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance on multiple architectures - Ensure the integrity and availability of applications as well as coordinate new application installations, upgrades, and customer support - Responsible for implementing effective backup/recovery, resource accounting, and auditing procedures - Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on varied IT hardware (Servers, Network equipment, storage arrays, PCs, etc.
) - Gathers system security design requirements with stakeholders and develops architecture - Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures - Installing/configuring/managing/updating various versions of software operating systems - Lab equipment and cyber compliance management - Documenting procedures and processes to ensure repeatability and data sharing WHO WE ARE: We create unparalleled readiness today and into the future, no matter what the mission may be here at Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems.

This position requires a candidate who is a U.
S.
Citizen and holds an Interim Secret security clearance to start.
The role is located at a facility that requires special access.
A level 3 employee is typically mid-career and has 3 to 5+ years of professional experience.
Note: This role will require domestic and international travel (up to 30%).
Candidates will be asked to obtain a DoD IAT Level II certification within 3 months of their start date, if they do not already have a certification.

Basic Qualifications: • Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance (requires US Citizenship) • 5 or more years of professional experience in system and information technology • Linux Server Administration (RedHat and SLES) experience • Windows Server and Desktop OS experience Desired Skills: • DoD IAT Level II certification (i.

Sec+ CE) • Experience working in Training Logistics Systems, preferably in a lab environment • Experience in shell scripting to schedule and automate processes • Experience working with VMWare/ESXi, VSphere, and Hyper-V for automated configuration/updates • Experience with Ansible tools • Experience with Excel, Agile, Atlassian tool suite (JIRA/Confluence) and IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM).

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
