*Job Summary:* Is responsible for assisting and implementing programs and experiences for children in a small group setting lead by a Tennis Pro.
They will also be responsible for the general safety and development, growth and skill achievement of the participants in his/her group.
Reports directly to the Tennis Director.
*Responsibilities and Duties:*
· Ensures that summer campers are well supervised on Property, tennis courts, pro shop, pool and lakefront areas.
· Implement a weekly schedule for WPRC camp groups led by a Tennis Pro.
* Lead a variety of group activities each week.
Activities will include Tennis but may include crafts, games, and mini sports.
* Identify and respond to camper behavior issues and immediately report to management.
* Communicate about campers’ experiences and report concerns to Camp Leader.
* Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports and daily attendance.
* Knows and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the WPRC camp programs.
* Knows, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the WPRC Camps.
This includes but is not limited to being responsible for your campers’ safety and their whereabouts at all times.
· Performs related duties as required.
* Attend any occasional scheduled staff meetings
* Attend all Mandatory pre-camp counselor trainings
*Knowledge, Education, Skills and Abilities:*
· Must be at least 16 years of age.
· Must be willing to work a varying schedule
· Ability to communicate with children of all ages
· Ability to communicate effectively with Members/Guests, supervisors and WPRC employees.
· Ability to remain alert, attentive, and responsible.
· Ability to be a team player.
· Maintains Red Cross certification Child, CPR, AED, and First Aid, (which will be provided by WPRC).
*Work context-Physical Requirements:*
· Be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours at a time
