Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide excellent service to all students, families, co-workers, and school administration.
Meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the children in their care.
Work in a team environment; build and maintain healthy, cooperative relationships.
Communicate positively and effectively with the Site Director.
Adhere to all policies and procedures both organizationally and departmentally to ensure the safety of children, parents, and staff.
Model positive behavior and educate children in a manner which contributes to mature and responsible behavior.
Complete all Discover After School and governmentally required training in the required time frame.
Implement the curriculum and schedule provided on a daily basis and provide feedback to such on a weekly basis.
Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma.
Satisfactory Criminal Background Screening & Drug Screening.
First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (can be provided by Discover After School).
Completion of 45 Hours of DCF Child Care Training.
Skills:
Eagerness to learn.
Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills in English is required.
Bilingual, with proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus.
Highly motivated, enthusiastic, patient, responsible, and dedicated to enhancing program performance and impact.
Strong communication skills for interactions with children and administration.
Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities for daily challenges.

7:30AM - 6:00 PM
Hourly availability may vary based on fluctuations in enrollment and active student numbers.
