Job Summary:
The 21st CCLC Art Specialist supports the 21st CCLC Program enrichment curriculum by providing art enrichment lessons including visual arts, dance, music and performing arts.
The 21st CCLC Art Specialist is the lead of a group of 10-20 students in providing Art enrichment activities at the UCP CCLC after school days and summer program.
Job Responsibilities:
Plan and implement engaging Art Integration enrichment activities, including creating lesson plans.
Create a classroom culture that encourages group thinking, curiosity and discovery
Assist to complete appropriate data collections (i.
e.
, attendance) according to grant requirements
Assist in the assessment of student progress
Assist with family engagement activities (including Family Night) as requested and participates in and delivers arts integration professional development to families and staff members.
Assist in creation and implementation of showcases of work
Assist in implementing art based field trips as requested
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Education and Training: (or equivalent)
Associate Arts degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience:
Experience working with students (K-8th grade) - preferably with students with disabilities.
Classroom management skills
Strong Art skills - Visual, Performing, Music, and Dance
