The starting pay is $13-15 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
This role is onsite at our center located: 9367 Trevarthon Rd, Orlando FL, 32817.
Our Infant/Toddler Teachers build a positive and safe learning environment for children, promote activities that improve the quality of education and childcare, and assist with the development and implementation of curriculum.
The Infant/Toddler Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team and manages the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom.
The teacher in this role should be high energy and able to work well with staff, students, and parents.
You’ll have the opportunity to be a leader in the classroom, champion a team environment, provide a nurturing educational program and foster meaningful, lasting relationships with children and their parents.
Why You Will Love Working for Us: • Holiday Pay in accordance with center calendar • Paid Vacation after 1 year of employment • Health Benefits after 90 days of employment • Tuition Discount • Bi-weekly Pay What You Will Do: • Create developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Director • Implement curriculum activities and encourage participation by children • Actively engage in activities and lead all aspects of cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials • Maintain frequent communications with administration through informal discussions • Promote self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling • Ensure smooth, daily transition from home to childcare center • Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by creating classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement • Ensure all Center policies and state regulations are met What We Need from You: • High School Diploma and/or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field • Must clear full level II DCF background check • DCF 45 hours, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills • Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed • Effective communication with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns • Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred Next Steps Academy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
