This is a full-time position that works Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm.
The pay is $13 per hour with merit increases depending on experience and qualifications.
This role is onsite at our center located: 800 Paul St, Orlando, FL 32808.
The Toddler Teacher classroom plans and implements curriculum, serves as a model and mentor, and coordinates engaging developmental activities for children.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, and support the growth and success of children.
What You’ll Do:
Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with both center’s vision and state and local requirements.
Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth
Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
What We Need from You:
High School Diploma and/or GED or Degree in related field of study preferred
45 DCF hours required
Strong communication skills and technology use skills
Treat each child with respect
Participation in Professional Development Trainings
Must clear a full level II DCF background check
Prior experience in early childhood education / care
CPR Certification and Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) for Infants and Toddlers highly preferred
Demonstrate empathy and patience in difficult situations
Cheerful, enthusiastic, and engaging in the workplace
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills
Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teachers, and resolve parental concerns
