This is a position that works a flexible schedule based on program operation hours, ideally Monday to Friday.
The pay is $13 -15 per hour depending on experience and qualifications such as DCF mandated 45 hours and industry credentials.
This position is onsite at our center located here in Orlando, FL – Orange County
The Toddler Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team, coordinates the curriculum, and manages the classroom's daily operational activities while implementing a curriculum appropriate for Toddlers (1 -2 years of age).
The Teacher in this role should be high-energy and able to work well with staff, students, and parents.
You will have the chance to serve as a model and mentor, leader in the classroom, champion a team environment, and provide fun-filled learning opportunities while positively impacting our toddlers’ lives.

What You’ll Do:
• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
• Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth
• Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
• Responsible for the supervision of children and management of a well-ordered classroom environment that ensures safety, cleanliness, and wellbeing.
• Update bulletin boards with appropriate monthly theme, lesson plan overview, parent / student highlights, classroom newsletter, pertinent information.
• Label, organize, and keep track of children’s personal belongings.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent conference, and school functions.
• A well-balanced schedule of activities including learning, playing, diapering, eating, and napping
• Implement sensory-rich, age-appropriate lesson plans while encouraging children to develop language skills
What We Need from You:
• High School Diploma and/or GED or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study
• FL DCF 45 hours required with a CDA (Child Development Associate) preferably

• Must clear a level II background check
• Some professional early childhood training/experience
• CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Certification completion within 30 days of employment
• Cheerful, enthusiastic, and engaging in the workplace
• Demonstrate empathy and patience in demanding situations
• Fluent in both English and Spanish is a Plus
