Job Summary: The Master Teacher K-12th Grade is an experienced teacher who helps role model/provide leadership to the campus teachers and also serves as an instructional classroom teacher.
Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with colleagues and administration to create a positive learning environment that fosters growth and academic achievement.
Provides a model classroom that teachers can observe, supports on campus teachers, be the “go to” to provide additional leadership at the campus, provide ideas to help campus develop and grow.
Provides professional development/leads campus-based PLC.
Follows and applies all Danielson instructional framework protocols to provide best instructional practices to ensure learning for all students.

Professional responsibilities.
Participates as an integral member of the IEP team, creating drafts for IEP goals utilizing data collected from the classroom, parents, therapists and other members of the IEP team.
Collect and use data to determine the effects of learning experiences on student’s development and approaches to learning and adapt as needed.
Maintains a portfolio with samples of students’ work, records observed progress, uses observational data to plan individualized and differentiated instructional strategies and appropriately follows Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Clearly communicates with families regarding students’ progress, actively involves family members in planning strategies for enhancing student’s progress and maintains a positive, collaborative relationship with students’ families.
Participates in team meetings/professional learning and school-based activities.
Maintains a classroom that reflects discovery and use of materials and is clean and well maintained.
Harmful cleaning supplies and other hazardous materials are not accessible to children, universal precautions are used appropriately and consistently, and responds quickly and appropriately to all accidents/incidents including documentation.
Demonstrates attention to punctuality, attendance, deadlines (Individual Education Plan/Individual Family Support Plans expiration/review, progress reports, testing/assessment), compliance with policies and procedures, Code of Ethics, and exercises appropriate professional judgment and other elements of the Florida Educators Accomplished Practices.
Ensure and provide basic care giving duties (utilizing universal health and safety precautions) for students.
Applies local and state approved protocols integrating technology and making necessary modifications to media and technology to accommodate all students’ needs.
Integrates art into curriculum and learning experiences including necessary modifications to accommodate all students’ needs.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications Education and Training: (or equivalent) Master Degree - Preferably in Elementary or Exceptional Education (currently in a master’s program may be considered) AND Professional Teaching Certificate Elementary Education or Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3 (if teaching up to 3rd grade only), ESE certification, Reading Endorsement, Clinical Supervision and ESOL Endorsement Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience.
Student data that illustrates the ability to increase student achievement through utilizing specific instructional interventions.
Experience working with diverse learners and differentiating instruction.
Prefer experience with project-based learning, instructional technology and art integration.
Prefer experience in Title I schools and serving as a team lead or similar.
